Today, I invested in a pre-seed stage startup that leverages #quantumdots to enhance and broaden drug discovery.

Here's the mechanism: Rather than using DNA labels, which restrict the types of chemical reactions possible, Decode Bio employs quantum dots to label molecules.

What's the significance of quantum dots? They are chemically inert, ensuring they don't react with other substances. Also, their unique pigmentation properties facilitate parallel testing without interference between molecules. As a result, Decode Bio can develop richer molecular libraries, broadening the spectrum of potential drug candidates they can produce and analyze.
